Wow is all i can say.The standard went thru the roof last night. !st up was dj rafa who bought a real nice party style set ,i think he rocked and opened up the competition really well and set a high standard.Next up was spatz who upped his game loads last night and entertained us all...good allround set.Next up was sir weetamix...this is where the game stepped up a whole level.Weet nailed his set, came really clean and smashed the s**t out of it...best crowd reaction of the night in my opinion and his fairground attraction and opening was f**king wicked entertainment .Next up was special guest who also had an amazing set rockin timbaland and a well known track that alchohol has made me forget hahaha..but it was a cool ass set.Johnny 1 move was also a real crowd pleaser and hes got a bag of skill i tell thee...some super fast drumming went down.Next up was my actual favorite ...a lot of biased here as hes a fellow crew member from the bionic stylus crew but hey..we all got our own opinions and i wont force mine upon this review hahaha, furious p was the cleanest of the night, nailed his set ,bought the juggles on and caned them and his cuts were undoubtedly the best sharpest and dare i say quickest and most funkiest at the same time....i was really hopefull that he had done enough.DJ Switch, another bionic stylus member stepped up and then raised it all up again,a real crowd pleaser who deffo bought his own style to the game and just pulled out the music and made funky tracks even funkier,a switch trademark...the crowd did really love this set.Next up was Asian Hawk who has been quite an inspiration to my own set this year,he did his thing, came with some rock based music in part of his set that went down really well and again the crowd responded well to that . So the placings went 3rd furious p,2nd asian hawk and 1st switch. I wont heckle as the judges make the decisions but i would have hated to be a judge on that heat.I think a lot of djs if were at different heats would have probably sailed thru into the finals and most of the djs there could have placed in this battle..it was just a real mixed bag of talent...massive shout out to sally for making it a good night as always...masive props to my brother for driving so i could have my dmc celebration drink at long last...and massive respect to weet who just hyped up the crowd so much...excellent stuff....also props to the famous "switchs dad" Martin....i love this guy and could talk to him all day about music. And massive props to dirty joe, wendle and rachel for all the alcohol fuelled shenanigans.....sally......SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS....see you all at the finals. |

| i must retort the line stating that this was the stongest heat 'ever' i competed in a brighton heat (the year mr thing won) and it had Mr Thing, Benny, G, First Rate, Skully and at least 2 other uk finalist who's names escape me. I also did the london heat whch had Skully, Quest, Tigerstyle, Daredevil, Eclipse and Blakey in it. |
